Ben 3/4/13

G unit,
Nothin better than an email from home! We probably had our best week of work this week!!! There's letters in the mail for Matt Mom and Dad, just so you guys don't feel too left out of mine and Nate's secret combinations! I'm gonna use 1 envelope but they are separate letters! I love you guys!!!
We had a Zone conference this week and it was awesome! Just imagine General Conference for missionaries!!! Without the general though because it's specific to our needs! We implemented what we learned and saw results!!! Everyone we found we taught! I'm definitely not nervous to invite people to get baptized anymore! It's all I can do to wait for the spirit to get there! We learned a lot about true faith and how to build true faith. One thing I have really..... um brought to the attention of our companionship, is working with members. The ward here is just awesome!!! Almost as awesome as the SC 11th! I miss those people! The ward here is so missionary minded I just love it! I have so much respect for how they live and fight for their beliefs here! I/we have just been trying to get more results from their potential. Sundays are my favorite day! General conference is going to be like Christmas! The Gospel is so awesome!
1. did not get the box.
2. Zone conference really is a blessing and strength! I'm going to miss President Hall! The next man has his work cut out! Give me more details on him!
3. Clothes are OK. puttin some miles on em.
4. I could use some stamps! I could use some protein bars haha
5. We again broke the record for most miles ridden in a day for this area! Our area is so beautiful the further out you get! Beautiful farmland as far as you can see. This also happened to probably be the coldest week of my mission, not that it was bad, but we did turn off the AC.
That's so awesome to hear about all the kids in high school who have their mission calls!!! I mean when I read Spencer and Mason were the first two to get their calls you just knew that God had prepared them! What two better kids in that grade than them to go! They'll be ready! Day and Shandon too! 4 solid kids! Be sure and tell Brady, Davey, and Landon I love them! Keep me posted on missionaries and mission calls! It's my favorite thing to read!!! I drew Brady a X's and O's football diagram with everyones position/number/mission! Pretty sweet stuff.  When do I get to read the little paragraph about all my friends or whatever? It's fun to hear about the missionary mom thing!
Nate and Matt you guys gotta study Preach My Gospel in conjunction with your scriptures. Especially the lessons (restoration. Plan of salvation, Gospel of Jesus Christ) You talked about doing role play. Role Play is critical but it is taught so wrong! Role Play should be done like a basketball practice. Role plays should be done like drills. Seldom, if ever, should you role play an entire lesson. Break it down. Role Plays should be like a principle within a principle. As basic as possible. Like when you want to practice free throws, you don't practice the layup and drawing contact between every free throw. Its inefficient. (I hope this makes sense). OK so for example there is this section in PMG on scriptures. Find it so you can understand what I'm saying. Pick a scripture. Start with Moroni 10:3-5. First practice only introducing the scripture to the investigator. Maybe five sentences of condensed background and what they need to look for. practice it 100 times like free throws. refine it til its right. And just like a free throw once its right that's when you drill in 100 times. Then practice drawing application after the scripture is read. This can be done in all aspects of role play. Just think Drills when it comes to role play.
I gotta go now it's district P-day and we're ballin! I love you guys a ton! Tell me what you need mission prep wise! I love you guys!
