Aaron 4/16/13

Hello Family!

This week has been another really good one! Monday night after P-day, Elder Cook and I went tracting a complex of apartment building, what we like to call "Mushroom Huts." They are square buildings, two stories, with a weird flare-thing coming off of the second story, making it look like a mushroom! They're all over Ohio, and I;m sure whoever owns them all has a lot of money! (but not really, they're really cheap apartments).
Tuesday we went out doing a lot of tracting, and eventually tracted into a less active member who had recently moved to Newark! The best part.. his non-member roommate/best friend knows all about the church already and wants to get Baptized! Apparently Kylie and Chris (both guys) grew up here in Newark, but moved away in their early twenties. They're both well known by both Wards here, and everyone wants to help Kylie come back into activity, and wants to support Chris getting baptized! Chris wants Kylie to baptize him though, so we have to wait a little while until after Kylie is cleared by Bishop Trauntvein. But still, its AMAZING!!
Wednesday we went on exchanges with our district leader. He came here to Newark, and I went over with his companion, who just came out 4 weeks ago! The two trainees went out and worked, and found 3 new investigators, as well as had an awesome lesson with an investigator! It was an awesome experience, and I'm glad to see that I am learning a whole lot still and am not reliant on my trainer in the slightest!
Thursday afternoon after coming home for the exchange Elder Cook and I taught the first discussion to Chris, and then went on splits with our High Priest group, who happened to be Bishop Trauntvein and Brother Dickerson, the 1st counselor of the Bishopric. The appointment I had set up fell through, we Brother Dickerson and I went out to visit some less-actives and gave a blessing to another of our members.
Friday we found another investigator, Cody, who is actually Atheist. Or Agnostic. or something like that. We have a return appointment with him tonight, so we'll see how he's doing with the reading and praying we asked him to do.
The only really noteworthy things from Saturday and Sunday were going to the Hospital to give a blessing to one of our home teaching assignments, and then Sunday we had some AMAZING Deer Steaks for dinner!
Yesterday (Monday) we did some gardening as service for some members (we pray that we didn't do too much damage haha), tracted more, and visited a super amazing Eternigator, Sister Uhland. Her son is a member, as well as some extended family, she knows all about the church, and just hasn't joined yet. She's been "investigating" for more than 3 years!
And then this morning we got to go to the Temple in Columbus :) It's a TINY temple, but it was still really good to be able to go :)

Thank you so much fro all the support and love! I feel it all the time and I love you all, all the more for it!! :)
