Hi Family!
Normally, I write my letter on Sunday, but last night, I
needed to do homework. My NY trip
put me behind and I did homework most of the day Friday and Saturday, and still
didn’t get it all done and I had an assignment that was due last night. I was up late (for me) to get it
done.
My NY trip was great.
Even though I’m still in catch-up mode (hopefully I will be all caught
up by the end of today), it was worth the trip. My trip back to Tucson on Monday was uneventful, just long. I was sad to hear about the Boston
bombing. I had a friend who ran in
the Boston marathon; thankfully, she finished before the bombing and was fine.
Once home, Tuesday and Thursday I was at school; Wednesday,
Friday and Saturday, I spent most of those days doing homework. Fun! Saturday night, I did go to a wedding reception; I really
needed to get out of the house and have some adult company. Three weeks from tomorrow, I will be
done with this semester. I will be
taking Calc II during the summer, then I should be done!
Nathan had a good week. He had a track meet on Wednesday where he ran well in the
2-mile. He also had a meet on
Friday up in Glendale. He ran the
800m but he hurt his leg again. He
did finish the race, in what I think was a good time, but not as fast as he
could have run if his leg didn’t hurt.
We finally had Nathan’s birthday dinner yesterday. I made a very yummy cheesecake for
him. Nathan wanted a drizzle to go
on it, so I put some strawberries in the Vitamix with some sugar, then heated
it up adding some corn syrup and cornstarch in it. It was really good.
Nathan wanted an Oreo crust for the cheesecake, so I made ½ Oreo and ½
graham cracker crust.
That’s about all the news for this week.
Love,
Meriden/Mom
