Ben 6/24/13

Wow! What an awesome week it must have been for you all! Awesome stuff!  Matt and basketball to Nate and church history to Dad and LBJ gettin that ring to mom.... emailing me a paragraph...... MOM I LOVE YOU!!! I love you all!

This week was CRAZY!

SO first probably tell you about my new companion Elder G.  Picture like half Irfan half yo quiro taco bell [chiwawa].  Hahaha he is from Guatemala.  Real high pitched Spanish accent. soft spoken.   He weighs like 100 pounds and he's probably 5'10".  He says he doesn't need to study English and he can't bike standing up, but he is very righteous and his heart is in the right place.  He just got done being trained and so he is in some habits and kinda thinks there is only one way. But we work through things. Communication is hard, but we worked through things, and we saw miracles for it.

Titusville is sweet! Maybe not to the eye of just anyone, but the field is white here! Quickly, Because of the government, Obama shutting down NASA everyone left, the economy crashed, and everyone here is kind of pessimistic about the town.  My apartment is different. We have no workout equipment.  Basically the ward is very small and 15% are active. Either the Lord is really mad at me or he really trusts me. In seriousness, it's humbling to be entrusted with these people in the situation the ward is in.  I got to ride with my companion Elder G. and the senior couple assigned to the ward! The Sherwood's! First of all the Sherwood's are awesome people! They treat us like their own! Elder Sherwood is a cowboy! Like legit he wears a cowboy hat everyday with his white shirt and tie. They are from New Mexico and he and all his kids have cattle and horses! Sister Sherwood was sweet as could be.

Miracles we saw this week! Well first of all we taught all week! We have been so blessed with people to teach! We are even teaching today at 3!
We found Michelle and Sarah! Mother daughter who are having a really hard time! They were really prepared and felt the spirit! We feel like they are going to progress really well.  We also found Dave E. "I just knew someone was going to knock on my door today".  And Mary B. "I just have a lot of pain, a lot of questions, where do we go after this life?"  Mary C. and Jesika F. "I just feel like I can trust you guys, I know the church is true.

Events that happened
-bike tire slashed (repaired)
-Lightning struck right in front of me! Twice! I couldn't see or hear for like three seconds! Lightning capitol of the world!
-softened the bishops heart and got into PEC. Never been done since he was called as bishop.
-taught more member presents and found more investigators than any week all year
