It's Elder G here! Congrats on the wins for my brothas!!! It sounds like everything is going great! Warrior Nation! Everything is great here as well!
Oh my Goodness!!!!! Zone conference was awesome!!! Elder Walker is just great!!! Elder Soares was cool, but Elder Walker was awesome!!!! It was really a testimony builder of the work that's happening right now! Elder Walker spoke of a SECOND SURGE of missionary work! It's been a blessing to be a part of the first great surge of hastening the work with the age change, but there is a greater and larger and more important surge that Elder Walker bore witness of happening. This work won't really get off the ground until the members of the church clue in and find and teach. Then we will really see the Lord accomplish his work! He was great! Just great!
Thank you so much for the Halloween package! That was just so nice!!! I love all you guys!!! I'm so proud of all of you! Thanks for the notes from Mom and Dad!!! I always loved you guys! You guys are my everything and get extra extra prayers!!!
This week was crazy as always. We found John- friends with James! The bowman family- just super nice and from Missouri! The Bisbee's! single mom and two kids having a real tough time. Don- nice old guy who recently lost his wife of 64 years and has been searching for the Plan of Salvation. Jeff, Allison, mike, and Kayla! Two really young newly wed cool couples. I was surprised they'd meet with us. Guess you just never know! So many people ready! Intimidating to the unintune eye but enriching to the hungry soul. That goes for both missionaries, members, and nonmembers. God's work is more close to the chest than we realize. It's the real deal out here bringing the church out of obscurity. Blessings!
Also something kind of interesting happening here in Orlando is the "Book of Mormon Musical" is on the big stage. Which is basically a mockery of this great work. The churches official quote is "The play may attempt to entertain viewers for a night, but the Book of Mormon as a volume of scripture will bless people for eternity" Or something to that affect! For starters we wouldn't even see the play because it has foul language and immoral content. I'm told the play is about missionaries who got sent to Africa who wished they got sent to the Orlando mission haha! This isn't exactly Disney world! I feel like Gandolf in Lord of the rings three just sitting with Pippin the hobbit on the eve of the great battle. Not to compare this work to a novel, but I see forces start to gather and pieces start to be set in motion. Not a battle of flesh and blood but of wrestling with evil in high places. Ephesians 6. It's good to be on this side of the fight. And they are viciously attacking in subtle ways one of the great symbols of Jesus Christ in this day. Something brought forth by Jesus Christ and also the Keystone of our religion! Preach My Gospel chapter 5. It is no coincidence that this week while I was "watching forces gather" That I was reading from the book of 1st Peter chapter 2 specifically verses 8 and 9. This chapter refers to the savior as a great stone and the word. There is a lot in there. Verse 8: A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, even to those that stumble at the word. (then something about disobedience) But the point is that the Book of Mormon is also the Word. Our job is to, with meekness and boldness, help people recognize the Book of Mormon. There is a need for faith and courage on our part when we testify of the Book of Mormon. Because if we have the spirit, the world must either accept the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ's church or stumble at it and be offended by it. No one in this world can deny the Christ with out stumbling over or crawling around the Book of Mormon. The work is true. And no one can come to a fullness of testimony or a fullness of Joy without embracing the Book of Mormon, and the church of Jesus Christ and his Priesthood. Verse 9: But ye are a royal priesthood and a chosen Generation! (maybe nation) We need to be true to our calling as that great Nation of Zion! Many are called (all are called) but few are chosen. D&C 121. This Work is breathtaking. It's the most important thing.

Our investigators are doing great!!! The Lord helped us to find so many great people this week! Such a blessing! Thanks for the reminder about Moroni's promise that the Lord will help us do everything we need to to succeed!!!
As for our investigators coming to church- I think that is something we can focus on! We have been really successful in getting investigators to church in the past! This week two of our families and three of the individuals we expected to come got the flu! Kind of a bizarre thing. The other one received some serious news this week concerning the health of his son. We tried to explain to him that we receive no witness until after the trial of our faith. We will continue to make church a focus as we help our investigators to progress and make the covenant of baptism!
