This week was awesome!!! I am thrilled to hear about the events of Wednesday (: I'm happy for you all!!! Haha this week, like I said was great!!! Last week I forgot to mention that we set two dates!!! Both will be getting baptizedthis Saturday the 1st! The Lord is so willing to bless us. Lately I've been trying to go back to basics. As important as what we do is who we are.
Among the events this week, probably one of the most memorable of my mission. So as you know, Elder Nelson came to the mission Saturday. On Tuesday, I had a thought, which escalated quickly. I called the district on Tuesday night, and told them President Berry just got off the phone with me and that he said Elder Nelson would be coming to our district meeting on Thursday. I told two Elders to fast because they would be giving the prayers and we need the spirit and I told a sister to make extra delicious treats and I told them all to bring their cameras so we could get a district picture with him afterwards. To make a long story short they all bought it and didn't think it was as funny as me and Elder Davis did. It was something I wish My brother or Ben or Brady could have seen! Gotta have a little fun right? Turns out one Elder lost a lot of sleep and the sisters were really looking forward to it. But I think they've forgiven me now (or I hope so). And the good news is Elder Nelson did come!!! What a great experience!!! I heard from him in the MTC on Christmas, but not quite as close and personal. I sat at the table at lunch after conference with him and Elder and Sister Munn's (area 70) and only a few sisters. I got as much one on one time as you can get. I asked him how to get the members involved etc. I got some quotes in my notes at the apartment. It was a stellar weekend.
I've got so much to say but so little time. I will probably write a letter. Anyways life is good. Nate way to kick some bootie!!! Dad I rep Alaska and Mommy Thanks for everything!!! I want to be like you when I grow up!!! I'll try to write!

Mission conference was wonderful! I think something the spirit taught me was just to stick to the basics. It was wonderful to be fed by a living apostle, I learned so much from him, I could list you all the notes I took, but I think what I really learned from the spirit I felt with him is to go back to the basics. I need to focus more on Christlike attributes. We need to go back to basic finding and teaching skills and better magnify our callings. What a blessing it was to hear so much of the word of the Lord this weekend and we are excited to put it in to practice going forward.
