To explain the subject line, it's raining today, and Elder Ferney and I are out of miles on our car. So we rode our bikes to the library! I'ts around a 3 miles ride from our apartment, so we're pretty thoroughly soaked. If we were smart, we'd have worn our P-day clothes here, but NOPE! White shirts, ties, and nice leather shoes! I think that's the fastest I've ridden my bike on my mission haha! Though I feel a little bad for pushing Elder Ferney a little hard.
This week has been the most tracting we've done in the area, as well as the most walking and biking! We don't have nearly enough miles for our car in our area, so at the end of the months we barely have enough to get to the general area we need to be at, and then walk/bike from there. We thought it would be cooler this week, but that was a lie. It's been around 80 every day, and is supposed to be even warmer this week! The trees know it's time for fall, since they're all chaning colors, even though it's only getting down to 60 at night!
We were able to find this one new investigator named Shannon this week thanks to all this tracting! I turns out here grandmother is a member, and when Shannon was a teenager she took all the missionary lessons but was never baptized. She's definitely more interested again though!! She's around 25, drive a legit truck, and loves guns. She just needs to be baptized! haha
As well, brother Hottinger finally came to church! It took making breakfast in his house and asking him for a ride to do it, but he was there, and he definitely felt the spirit in fast and testimony meeting! Now we need to get his wife to get Sundays off from work so they can both go and get reactivated and sealed in the temple!!!
My hand is no longer infected, which is a plus! We went back to the Jashinksi's this past week and started to help them build a new railing for their deck! We had some other good discussions and we'll be coming back in the middle of the week and sit down with them, and hopefully have a discussion and teach them how to pray!! They gave us dinner after we finished working for the day, and I said that it was one of heir turns to say the prayer. And we sat there for 5 minutes trying to let them decide who would say the prayer. It was pretty hysterical, though a little aggravating at the same time. You'll never get an answer to the Book of Mormon by saying Hail Mary's or "God is great, God is Good, God we thank you for the food. Amen."
But you can really see the gratitude that they have for us. They were talking and it sounds like we not only helped them with the labor, but the "skill" that we worked with allowed them to save nearly $500 on parts and stuff! Perfect for them to pay tithing with :) haha!
Tonight we have another lesson with the Gall's, and we're praying that Brother Gall got an answer on if the Book of Mormon is true! He has committed to be baptized if he has an answer!!\
I am so grateful to be able to be a missionary! To be able to meet so many different people and to testify of our Savior Jesus Christ!! I love the Book of Mormon and how it brings me closer to Him each time I read it, and the strength it gives me! Confession to Mom, Dad and Nathan. I've actually been reading ahead of the 10 pages a day. Whoops! :)
YOU ALL ARE AWESOME! I LOVE AND MISS YOU!!!!!
